RNI JUNE 1970 RENAMED RADIO CAROLINE

Taken from an original reel to reel tape here we have a CD containing the election period during June 1970 when Radio North Sea International changed their name to Radio Caroline. This was the period when the Government decided to jam the station using a jamming transmitter based in Rochester Kent. The CD contains many original recordings and includes who do you think you are kidding Mr Wilson song remember? You will hear the Johnnie Walker dream song of Radio Caroline sailing up the River Thames. Includes the free radio rally at Trafalgar Square and later the march to 10 Downing Street. Various free radio speeches. Harold Wilson sings Puppet on a String. Hear the Radio North Sea International theme tune in full, Man of Action by The Les Reed Orchestra. On board at the time were Roger Twiggy Day, Alan West, and Carl Mitchell who reads the news.
